NU 375 - Senior Simulation Experience

Credit(s): 2
This course integrates clinical learning and nursing theory in a simulation-based environment, building on previous content in a risk-free environment. It includes the application of nursing principles, concepts, related skills, and clinical decision making specific to patients at each stage of life. Focus will be on connecting theory to practice through simulated experiences that are high risk and low volume, and psychomotor skills refinement to build confidence and prepare students for entry into the nursing profession. Coursework will contain classroom lecture, skills demonstrations, summative evaluations, and application of knowledge during simulation. Simulations will include high and low fidelity technologies, unfolding case studies, standardized patients, and scenarios students will not otherwise have exposure to before graduation. Co-enrollment in NU 430  required.
