ED 239 - Characteristics of Young Children with Special Needs

Studies the variety of challenges faced by children with special needs, which may include impairments from genetic abnormalities, pregnancy or birth complications, or environmental causes. Examines the impact on a child’s family, social and learning environment, as well as the potential for development. Concurrent enrollment required in ED 202 , ED 232 , and ED 240  as part of Sophomore Block.
