ED 239 - Characteristics of Young Children with Special Needs Credit(s): 3 Studies the variety of challenges faced by children with special needs, which may include impairments from genetic abnormalities, pregnancy or birth complications, or environmental causes. Examines the impact on a child’s family, social and learning environment, as well as the potential for development. Concurrent enrollment required in ED 202 , ED 232 , and ED 240 as part of Sophomore Block.
