ED 238 - Language Development and Linguistics Credit(s): 3 This course introduces students to language development. Both monolingual and bilingual language development will be explored. Students will be introduced to theories of language development. As classroom considerations for language learning are explored students will learn elements of linguistics as well as special considerations for English language learners (ELLs). Issues of assessment will be introduced as well as special considerations of language development for internationally adopted children.
